This album was conceived during the emotional turbulence, political issues,and general experiences that were occurring during the time i was writing it. Every song was written between October of 2017 and January of 2018 and recorded, mixed, and produced by me. I figured i'd put the newly acquired skills of playing dobro and mandolin to use by writing songs that could feature those instruments. Throughout the 64 minutes of continuous music you'll hear elements of bluegrass, psychedelia, middle eastern music, country, jazz, rock, and of course improvisational jams. It was an interesting process recording en entire album by myself and trying to utilize the instruments i have and different methods of playing them to create new textures and create full and well rounded songs without a drummer. These eleven tracks accurately capture where I was in the period they were written, reflect the music i enjoy, and create soundscapes that go along with the emotions of the lyrics. I hope everyone who hears this will enjoy the music on the album and feel something they can connect to within the music and the lyrics.
